Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and applying penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
